ParticipanteMuchas gracias, David, that worked.
The next time there is an update I will try the ‘regular’ updater, but will keep a copy of the legacy one, just in case.

ParticipanteOkay! After updating the driver for the USB connection, the Updater script could see the port.
Unfortunately, when I tried finishing the update process, the following message appeared:
‘Cannot open self C:\Windows\system32\data\esptool.exe or archive C:\Windows\system32\data\esptool.pkg’
If there’s anything I can provide (log files, etc) to help, let me know.

ParticipanteHola,
It took some time, but I was able to install chgport on my computer. I tried running the new Magerit Updater script, and recieved a new message:
‘No serial ports were found.’
I also tried this on my work laptop and saw the same message.
When plugging in the Metro with a USB, the computers recognise it as a new device, so I don’t know what’s happening – I’m not much of a computer person.
I will keep trying to see if there’s a way to get the computer to find serial ports. I also see that Microsoft no longer uses chgport (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/chgport) so if you can find a way to update without chgport it would be good.
Thanks, I do appreciate your time in helping with this.

ParticipanteNo worries, thank you for your help.
I’ve tried looking for chgport on my computer, and cannot find it. I will see if I can download a copy from Microsoft, but if not, I will try using my work laptop.
